Hello, can I speak to [Respondent Name]? My name is {{D}}, and I am calling from a company called 60 Decibels. I am conducting research on behalf of CGAP, an organization that is part of the World Bank, which aims to contribute to the economic and social development of several countries around the world, including India. This survey is looking to understand how people perceive their relationship with personal finance management apps.
You might have completed a similar survey between September and October of 2024, and this is a follow-up conversation to understand more about your experience with personal finance management apps.
This interview is voluntary, your responses are anonymous, but if you have the time, we value your input, which will help shape CGAP’s work in India. There are no right or wrong answers through this interview, we’re just interested in hearing about your opinions and experiences. The information you share will only be seen by my team and CGAP.
Thanks so much for being patient – I know that was a lot of information, but we’d love to get onto the interesting part of the conversation.
F - Are you happy to continue with the interview?
G - To confirm survey eligibility, can you share what year you were born?
This survey is focused on understanding how people manage their personal finances using Personal Finance Management (PFM) apps or tools. These tools allow you to track, manage, and optimize your finances by aggregating data from multiple accounts, categorizing expenses, setting budgets, tracking savings goals, and often offering insights about your money. Examples include apps like IndMoney, Cred, Fold, or Jupiter.
Please note: We are
not
referring to apps or features used only for checking balances or recent transactions in your bank account. We are also
not
referring to payment apps like PhonePe, Google Pay, or UPI apps.
